The Diocese of Dunkeld is appealing to the Scottish Government under both the terms of the 2010 Schools Closure Act and the 1980 Education (Scotland) Act. We believe that the case for closure has not been made, that the closure would harm greatly the provision of Catholic Education in Dundee, and the community of Douglas will be greatly harmed.
The Diocese has pulled out of talks it initiated with the Council over the future of Catholic education in the City and will resist any further attempt by the Council to undermine Catholic education.
