Catholic Teacher's Certificate

A note from St Andrew's Foundation about the Catholic Teacher's Certificate

As we approach the end of the academic year, many of our Initial Teacher Education students are in the final stages of completing their Catholic Teacher’s Certificate. Owing to the current circumstances, and the physical closure of the printing unit in the University of Glasgow, it is unlikely that those successful in achieving the Certificate will be able to receive the usual hard copy in time for their application for approval. I can confirm, however, that each successful student will be in receipt of an email communication, in the form of a PDF signed letter on headed notepaper, advising them of their success. We would be most grateful if diocesan representatives can accept this letter as confirmation of successful completion of the Catholic Teacher’s Certificate at the time of application for approval. Many thanks in advance for your help with this and if there are any questions please don’t hesitate to contact me.

We have been in contact with our final year students and have encouraged them to get in contact with their parish priest as soon as possible with regard to the approval process. We recognise that the closure of churches will present its own challenges around this and so hope that our early encouragement will help with this.

Very best wishes,

Roisin
